Gary,
have you documented your battery installation with pics or words? I am interested in adding more battery capacity and would like to know in more detail what you have done.

Battery placement
Hi Sandy,
I've attached a couple of pictures to show the battery location and try to describe what I have done but I still have not finished all my projects. I maintain two 4D batteries. To better distribute their weight I maintain one under the starboard side under the cockpit. The other I relocated to the bow. In both areas of the bow and stern I fabricated teak and holly soles for the floor. Under the cockpit I divided the space into two sections but have yet to build the the doors to enclose it. On the starboard side and in the locker under the steps I followed the plumbing line to the Head area with conduit and wireing to relocate the second battery to the bow. I will also use this space to eventually run a shower drain line to the back of the boat but going through a shower drain sump pump. My boat was one of the earlier ones (311) and was not completely fitted out as reagrds the plumbing for the shower. At the same time I have been constructing walls to enclose the head with more room and with an eventual door. I do not think I can attach all the pictures to this post so I'll send a couple of additional posts with pictures.

Nice stuff. Anybody know where to get the plastic trim that is used in the head. I need for my refit.
