Post by crb »

does anyone know of a source for replacement ama/hull hinges?? or a template that could be used to make stainless plates, with out hinges, to make amas fixed? one ama has already detached from hull, and i am afraid the other one may go soon. thanks, curt , i find this website difficult to use, please respond to burkhead@aol.com for easier communication.

I have the same issue. As I reported on this site, my hardware broke on my way back from Cuba and over the course of returning to the US, the entire outrigger detached and was damaged. My plan is to use the hardware on the opposite side as templates to rebuild the hardware on the damaged side. If you come across a better idea, I would love to see it.

It depends on the model you have. I have tracings of the hinges I fabricated for my Mark 1. I would be happy to make a set for anyone who needs them. I have installed them and they fit perfectly. Starting with the Mark II, the hinges changed and evolved. Mine would not be any help.
