front "bedroom' :)

after allot of study , drawings , simulating , i have decide to make the front bed foldable . i want to have as much space as i can , to see outside the boat during the day , and also comfort.
so started to work on the aluminum frame . everything is made as light as possible ! everything i have cut out from the boat i have weighted and everything i am putting in the boat will be again weighted ...

middle of the bed frame. my concept is during the day to be folded down like an armchair and a lazy place to hangover :) and during the night it will be at the level of the sides

and a simulation of the bed :D i've tested it and is great 155cm wide by 185cm long ! it almost king size ! in the foot area there is 90cm wide ...but there is no problem with that considering that is only for 50cm long ...
i am very happy with the result and how the sliding/folding mechanism works . i need about 30seconds to transform it from the lazy place(thats how i like to call it ) into the full bed

next thing on the list ...kitchen !!!
this was a brain killing ! i am the type of guy who is struggling for the best concept ...i have spent tens of night hours during the building thinking about the layout. where to put the sinks , where to be the cooker , the dishes , the glasses etc . how to cut the salamy , the potatoes , where to put the garbage ... there was no place for garbage in the original shape ...where will be the oil bottle , the vinegar , the sugar , the salt ...basically i was considering this bout as it would be my second home !!! what hell i won't live on ...i hope so :))) but that's my type and i can't help it ! anyway the kitchen took me 6 weeks in total !!!

simulation ...

Hi. I'm fascinated by the work you are doing on your boat. You haven't posted for a while so thought I'd let you know you have been missed! How's it going? Cheers. Joe

hey Joe !

thank you very much for your words ! unfortunately i have put aside this project during all summer long because of drag racing season ... but in a few weeks will start again ! :))
i was very frustrated of not be able to finish this boat for this summer when i have been in Croatia vacation and in Greece ... i was sitting close to the sea each evening watching the sun going down and dreaming about being on board telstar having a glass of wine , listening to the sea , felling the waves ... i am shore you know that ...but sometimes that's it ! the project is a little further in reality from presented here , but not very . i will post soon ...

thanks for commenting ! :)

hello again ! i am back :)
and it's time to move on and keep posting here . partially i am said because i hardly get time to work on this boat and partialy i am happy because i am working on it right now ! so there is progress and i will try to updated ...
well let's go on with the kitchen . there will be two sinks : one to wash with soap and salt water and the other one to clean with fresh water . i want to make two different water systems for better fresh water economy . also there was a lot of thinking about how to make all the things to work with my two separate "bedroom" configuration that is in my mind . because my bedroom will be the one in front (remember i want to see the sea from my bed drinking the morning coffee ) and i also want not to be disturb by the other members on board when they want to take a fast snack in the morning or making a coffee . so i need flat vertical surface from the kitchen storage , be able to open it by lifting and also i need a support on the lower kitchen table for my separating wall . maybe it is to complicated to explain right now but it is all in my head . will leave this for further in the future but i want to say thins things because in the construction of the kitchen there are much more things involved !

here is the aluminum frame almost finished without final touching , the two sinks with two work places. this tables will be foldable on top of the sinks for better looking during day time and also for flat surface during night time when my bed will come and cover the first one on the left . the "T" upside down aluminum profile in the middle of the tables is for supporting the wall i was talking about previously and needs to be there ...
