A quick heads up in case I am not alone. The wire into the turnbuckle stud on one of my shrouds had to be replaced. One of the wire strands broke and then one sail later 3 had broken. The rigger thinks that raising and lowering the mast is bending the wire at the turnbuckle stud. The wire is certainly bent now, I just don't know if it was caused by raising the rig or by the strands breaking. Anyway, I'll be checking the stud-wire junction more often in future.

You really do have to be careful about how the shrouds and stays line up when the mast is lowered and raised.
