Categoria telstar 26

Buongiorno a tutti i proprietari di telstar,una domanda che riguarda il telstar 26 Mk1 del 1974...a che categoria appartiene,come è omologato???
Non ho trovato alcuna informazione a riguardo.

I know nothing about a Telstar 26, but most the information regarding a 26 will be listed under "Telstar 26's and 8M's" on the board index. There is not much activity on this board, but you may try and send a private message to other Telstar 26 owners listed on the site. I know there is another site with quite a bit of information on the 26s, but I don't remember the address, hopefully somebody here can help you with that.

What hull # do you have? I own hull #52. I think mine was made in 1974. The classification system was not in place when our boats were made. I would guess that it would classify as a B class (w/in 200 mile coastal cruiser), although the boat has crossed the North Atlantic.

Hull No. 60. Then your boat is probably identical to mine.

My guess is that the Telstar would qualify in the EU as a class B or C vessel. I think more likely a class B. Anybody know for sure?

Where would you find the hull number on the boat please? I believe mine was built in 1977.

Good question. Some boats had it scratched into the amas and on a small plastic plate attached to the main hull. Mine was on a plastic plate in the engine compartment (I had the original jet drive).

Hull number 53 'De St. Aubin' still alive and kicking in Newquay Cornwall UK

1973 built by AJS Sandwich Yacht Construction Ltd, Sandwich, Kent UK

Mine has a custom made plate in the cabin which was made by original owner Joe Tobin, but I can't see any other markings on her hull from ship builders.

Mine is Hull 52, also built in 1973. Our boats are almost sibilings. Mine was delivered in the US, however and has remained here ever since.
