Here's another close-up photo of the GRP bracket. The outboard is fixed to the bracket (aluminium/wood backing) which has been glassed over. Then the edge of the bracket is through-bolted to the hull.

Thanks. I like the way you routed your cable.

Re: Revamped 1976 Telstar Mk II
Hello Windchaser, i've looked some of your photos, videos and Phoenix is really a nice boat. I recently became a Telstar owner of this boat (old advert - https://www.multihull.nl/multihulls/use ... .fotos.htm) and need to do some work on it. Rudder is very high on the list as the one installed rooted and the top of the rudder broke. I did a quick fix, but would not trust if other parts of the rooder are ok. And the design of the rudder was changed by some of the previous owners and I'd like to bring it to some more normal/standard design. My idea is a balanced rudder with rotation point ca 15-20 cm back for the transom, could be narrower and deeper,...Windchaser wrote:Here are some photos of the new fixed rudder built onto the original transom. I can measure the exact depth/draft if you need it?
Ecco alcune foto del nuovo timone fisso montato sullo specchio di poppa originale. Posso misurare l'esatta profondità / brutta copia se ne hai bisogno?
If you have dimensions (even aprox) of your rudder would be gratefull. It does not look large but i read the size is sufficient.
