Talking about the boats in general, that don't fit in the other categories.

Boat US Association

Post by Ron »

Just a reminder that our association is linked with Boat US. You get $15 membership dues, a 10% reduction in towing services, and their bi-monthly magazine. They also do a lot for the boating community in the US - probably the largest and best towing service in the country, marine insurance, discounts on fuel, repairs, slips at more than 1200 marinas, and they represent our interests at the federal, state and local levels.

For example, we're getting a 20% reduction and $150 credit on our Royal Clipper cruise next month from Antigua to Barbados. That's a 450 foot long square rigged clipper ship with 5 masts, 43 sails and 84,000 square feet of sail. And they will let you work on it! Biggest and fastest clipper built ever built - the Cutty Sark was about 210 feet.

If you are interested in joining, take a look at their website (boatus.com). Our group id is GA85014B.

Just stumbled onto this. How do we claim those credits with Boat US? I.e., how do we prove we are ITOA members?

Thanks,
Alex
