Wasp Trailing Log - Spare Spinners

Post by Fatboyfinn »

Thought I would make a spare spinner for my Wasp Log as it appears they are like "hens teeth"
If anybody would like a spare let me know - I can knock them off for £36 + postage. See pic and
ebay listing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Wasp-Log-Spinner- ... 3cadc40222

This is one has a clear epoxy cast propeller - I have made some with copper filled epoxy. I thought the clear prop would be less visible to "sharks" .....

In those days before GPS .......... how the hell did you know where you were?
Enter Thomas Walker - who constructed a device for measuring distance through water.
and some people copied and improved. This is a spinner from a "Wasp Log" Great thing about
these mechanical logs is that they need no power. I always carry one - when all else fails!

What the hell is a sextant ... don't get me started....
