You may have already done this, but you might try to research the "Telstar 26's and 8M's" topic for more info on your boat and trailer.

I have an old Telstar 26. Mine is Hull #52 built in the early '70s. I was close to finishing before the Pandemic took me away from my project and made me concentrate on my house (since my kids all came home from college). I can probably take some pictures of the trailer for you if you like.

That boat is not a '79 that you show in the link. It is much earlier than that. I would guess that it as early as mine. It had the original UA jet drive. The engine bay doors are still there and the cut out for the jet drive has been glassed over. The amas are the same as mine and were only used for a couple of years on Tony's early boats. My guess is that you have a '73 or '74 production boat. Maybe it was not titled until '79 but by then Tony was making the late Mark II model, which had added room in the cabin and different amas.

The trailer looks original and is in the same shape as mine. They were basically useless when they were new because they were grossly under-designed but weakened by rust, they are downright dangerous.

Note that the second link is for 2 pictures. You have to hit the arrow to see the second one. Hope this helps.
