Guess I've been lucky!

Post by Gene »

I have hull #318 bought in 9/2005. One of the early boats. As I was about to pull away from PCI in my Nissan Titan, Tony advised me to paint the hull supports as they were new and not galvanized! My first tow~ ever~ was from Annapolis to Cape Cod, all without incident! Over the next several years my towing never exceeded 1k total miles, mainly annual launch/retrieves locally on the Cape. For several reason... including a broken centerboard, the boat layed idle from 11/08 through 11/12! It wasn't good... but boat left on tires no maintenance basically, just a good winterization.,.. I had my favorite state police mechanic check it over in November /12, and then proceeded to take it to Gulf Shores, AL via I-95, 85 & 65. I made the trip without issues... any at all!!! I'm so glad I hadn't read this towing forum first :-)...

Believe it or not my luck continued... After 4+ years, I bought new battery, new plugs, sprayed WD40 all over cylinder & boat started up on first crank!!!
