I decided to come down to Florida and do some sailing and ended up breaking my centerboard today. I remember reading somewhere that someone had redesigned one that was pretty indestructible. Can anybody give me any advice on this?

Re: Broken Center Board
I posted about how I replaced my centerboard while on the trailer, and in the section "REPLACEMENT CENTERBOARD AVAILABLE" you will find a great place that can manufacture a very solid centerboard at a reasonable price.
Just search for the topic and I am sure it will pop up for you. Lots of valuable information about how to disassemble and reassemble the drum, and with any luck the video is still available.

Re: Broken Center Board
Thanks Wooden,
Yup, the video is still available and very helpful. Quite a clever design! The video took a several hour exploratory event and turned it into a simple half an hour removal.
Here's the link should any one else have a bad day:

Had a friend send me the following link that I found interesting and may help someone who wants to make their own.

I know that someone has written some notes on doing the replacement. I remember seeing them a few years back. Is it still on here?
