Teak maintenance

The Telstar contains mercifully little teak, and all of it below decks, but I've never had a boat with any of it. What have you all found the best for maintenance of the teak? Some of it, like the companionway steps, obviously gets some wear.

The teak on the interior of the Telstar uses an oil finish. Some people have gone to the lengths of rubbing it down with acetone and varnishing it. The oil finish holds up reasonably well and is relatively low maintenance, but is harder to clean than if the wood was varnished. Mostly, it is a personal decision on how you want the interior to look.
