Chainplate Leak

Post by vancouver »

The chainplate on my starboard side of my T28 has developed a leak. Has anyone rebedded one. If so, any recommendations.

I know I will find out, but is the are on the cabin top where it attaches solid or cored?

Thanks

Chainplate Leak

We had exact same problem. We put silcone seal on the edge of the chain plate on the deck and the bolts. No leaks for 2 seasons. We were out for a week this season and no problem, but I am going to check and maybe re-seal before we go out again.
