That time is coming and as much as I do not want to I need to consider putting Peregrine away for her first winter in Vermont.
Before I start to develop my own I was wondering if anyone have any checklists developed for storage in a freezing climate they would be willing to share?
For a second question how do people cover them in a snow climate when you do not have a building to put them in?

Winter preparation and storage
1. Question why I live and sail in Vermont (or Minnesota)
2. Decide to sail year round somewhere warm
3. Move there
4. Put boat on trailer
5. Drive there
6. Drop boat
7. Sail
It seems simple - just wish we could figure out the little details.

I had a cover fabricated by a local canvas shop. Its designed not to use the spreaders for support. Its also designed to allow air flow through the cover. I've attached some photos.

Gary,
Was the scaffolding seen on the pictures done by someone, or you put it together yourself? Seems well fit to the boat.
I will have to start looking for something similar in a month or two.
Regards,
Maciek

The scaffolding was done by the company that did the cover. I intend to replace the material with solid plastic that I found at Home Depot because the wood he used was not very good but I I have gotten threee years out of it without any collapse and this winter season will be the fourth.

Gary,
do you mind telling who the vendor was and the cost or contact name?
