Draining Plumbing for the Winter
Is there a particular process to drain the water tank and lines? I will be taking the boat out in the next few weeks and want to make sure I do the right things for my first wintering process. Thanks!

Re: Draining Plumbing for the Winter
Last year I sponged out the fresh water tank and put in a few gallons of RV antifreeze, pumped till I seen it come out both faucets. Filled the head sink with RV antifreeze and pumped it into the head and then poured a gallon in the holding tank. Everything seemed to have survived the winter.
I think it probably works better if you sail it down to the Bahamas and baby sit it down there all winter

Only problem with the RV antifreeze is that you might tend to taste it in the water for many months. When I had to winterize my boats I preferred to blow it out with air pressure after draining the tank(s). Putting a "T" in the water line makes this a lot easier.
