My motor wont stay down in reverse

This problem just started this year. I can raise it up using the electrical lift and it will stay up fine. It will lower properly when I let it down. but if I grab it with my hand when its down I can pull it up. Obviously there is a check valve not holding or a seal of some kind out. Anyone else have this problem? How did you correct it?
