Since the forum does not have a dumb question area I am putting this one here. In thinking about getting ready for the new year I am going over the items I have done, and still need to do, for the Honda 20. Engine oil and lower unit oil changed, fuel drained from engine, new fuel filter (as well as a new inline) installed, new Prop ready to install and I will change the plugs once I get it started and blow out the storage oil blown into the cylinders last fall.
The question I have is that I have not seen anything in the literature about air filtration or filters? Is there no air filter on an outboard? This falls into the stupid question as this is the first outboard I have owned and every other motor I have has some sort of an air filter.
Thanks
Jerry

Outboard Air Filter?
No, outboards generally don't have air filters. The fact is there usually isn't much airborne dust on the water. The higher levels of humidity tend to keep the dust levels down... as does the water itself.
