They won't build more tillers,varnished or otherwise. The factory is in the process of shutting down.

If I can find another supplier, we can try again. Someone must be taking over this market. H&L was the biggest and has been around for many years.

Received my tiller today. Fantastic looking work, and I am sure this will give me more working room. Thanks so much for doing this for us.

The company that custom made them for us closed down several years ago. Someone must be doing it now. Look around for others.

There's a company named "Rudder Craft" that makes stock and custom wooden tillers. The link is below. They don't list the Telstar but I recall that I based our orders off of another boat and/or compared our longer rudder to diagrams of other boats. The info is probably somewhere on this site. Worst case we can measure one of the shorter ones to get the specs. Our new tiller is about 10 inches or so shorter than the stock one.
